Nach über 10 Jahren Pause gründen sich Swans 2009 für eine Tour mit neuer Besetzung neu. Mit der sog. “Big Sound”-Trilogie folgen drei der ikonischsten Experimental Rock-Alben aller Zeiten.

2026 ist bisher noch nicht eines der besten Musikjahre der 2020er, trotzdem gibt‘s aber ne ganze Menge gute Alben zum Auschecken aus der ersten Jahreshälfte (Januar bis einschließlich Juni – ja, ich bin ein bisschen spät dran). An vorderster Front stehen dabei die folgenden 15. Honorable Mentions gehen außerdem raus an: Lip Critic sowie Mitski!

I went back to revisit all albums of the band and solo artist I was obsessed with a few years ago, then fell out of love with and felt pretty disconnected from ever since.

The legendary Death Metal band, by some considered to be namesake of the genre, has one of the most consistent catalogues the world of music has ever seen. From their humble beginnings as one of the first Extreme Metal bands, taking influence from Thrash Metal and elevating it to the next level, to the highly refined sound of their later albums, I'm ranking all of their albums from worst to best. Enjoy!

2024 was a year full of amazing singles. That's why I present to you not my 20 or 50, but my 100 favorite singles of the year, though only the latter half (#50 - #1) will have write-ups. Please note that, while I do account factors such as cultural significance, the list is in the first place a reflection of my music taste and ranked according to my enjoyment of my chosen tracks.
